In detail, the FOUR GENERATIONS history of the family is as follows:
In 1920, Michalis Zouridakis and his wife Anthousa Zouridakis founded the first bakery in Pitsidia, Heraklion, Crete.
Using pure, traditional ingredients and no preservatives at all, they began making the first traditional family products with love, zeal, and dedication.
In 1948, after 18 years of hard work, they opened the second bakery in Matala, Heraklion, Crete. Matala was then a very popular place for hippies from all over the world.

In 1948, after 18 years of hard work, they opened the second bakery in Matala, Heraklion, Crete. Matala was then a very popular place for hippies from all over the world.
The hippies of that era, whom Mama Anthousa Zouridakis cared for as her own children, called it
“THE MAMA’S SHOP".
The store in Matala became a milestone for the business's upward trajectory.
In 1990, in Pitsidia, Heraklion, Crete, the family's son, Nikolaos Zouridakis, established a modern facility of 1,500 square meters, fully organised and with modern equipment to ensure the purity and quality of the products.
This development contributed to the company's growth and expansion of its sales nationwide, as well as the beginning of its activities abroad.
Thus, in 2004, continuing the tradition through the third generation of the family, Michalis N. Zouridakis opened the third store in Piraeus, specifically at 1 Gounari and Nikita Street in the central market of Piraeus.
In 2013, recognizing the public's love and demand for the family's authentic pure traditional products, the company, despite the difficult circumstances of the time, decided to open the fourth store in the heart of Greece, specifically in the central market of Athens, next to the Varvakeios market, at 25 Athinas and Evripidou Street.
To this day, the company has shown a consistently upward trajectory in the production and trade of traditional Cretan products.
